1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Play Abuja ("the Platform"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
2. Use License
Permission is granted to temporarily access Play Abuja for personal, non-commercial use only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:
- Modify or copy the materials
- Use the materials for any commercial purpose
- Attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on the Platform
- Remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials
- Transfer the materials to another person or "mirror" the materials on any other server
3. User Accounts
To use certain features of the Platform, you must register for an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Accept all responsibility for activities that occur under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
4. Player Responsibilities
As a player using the Platform, you agree to:
- Arrive on time for games you have joined
- Respect other players, hosts, and venues
- Follow the rules set by the game host
- Cancel with at least 2 hours notice if unable to attend
- Not share your account with others
5. Host Responsibilities
As a host on the Platform, you agree to:
- Complete KYC verification before hosting games
- Provide accurate game information
- Ensure venue availability and quality
- Be present for all games you host
- Treat all participants fairly and respectfully
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
6. Payments and Refunds
All payments are processed securely through Paystack. The following terms apply:
- A 15% platform fee applies to all game bookings
- Players can cancel and receive a full refund up to 2 hours before game start
- Cancellations within 2 hours of game start are non-refundable
- If a host cancels, all players receive an automatic full refund
- Host earnings are credited to their wallet after game completion
- Hosts can request payouts at any time (minimum: ₦1,000)
7. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use the Platform to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights
- Transmit harmful or malicious content
- Harass, abuse, or harm others
- Impersonate others or provide false information
- Interfere with the Platform's operation
- Collect user data without permission
8. Content Ownership
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Platform. By submitting content, you grant Play Abuja a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display such content in connection with the Platform.
9. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Play Abuja does not warrant that:
- The Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Defects will be corrected
- The Platform is free of viruses or harmful components
- Results from using the Platform will be accurate or reliable
10. Limitation of Liability
Play Abuja shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid through the Platform in the past 12 months.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Play Abuja harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Platform immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will immediately cease.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes via email or through the Platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
